A HAPPY DOGIS A BALANCED DOG
Here at DogGenius we believe every dog is different and one solution does not fit all.
We are using a balanced training approach rooted in positive reinforcement, so each behavior is taught by positive methods only, although all four quadrants of Operant Conditioning Theory are used in ensuring compliance: positive reinforcement, positive punishment, negative reinforcement and negative punishment. By doing so, we are addressing the cause of the problem while teaching the dog how to deal with each situation.
Every dog needs to be balanced physically, mentally and emotionally in order to be truly happy. Therefore, we're taking into account multiple factors before suggesting a training plan: Wellness, Physical Exercise, Mental Stimulation, and Environment. Based on your individual case we're suggesting the appropriate level of each of the above so you can build a strong, long lasting relationship with your dog.
PHYSICAL EXERCISE
Physical exercise helps your dog fulfill its instincts, leading to a less destructive behavior while indoors.
MENTAL STIMULATION
Mental stimulation is an essential part of a dog's life, generating a clear, more focused and less frustrated mind.
ENVIRONMENT
Different environmental stimulus may affect your dog's behavior and learning how to properly manage it will help you succeed.
FEEDING
What type of food you're using and how you are feeding your dog can have a huge impact on its overall well-being.
HEALTH
A dog's health condition might negatively impact the way it learns and behaves and might limit the amount of tools you could use for training.
TOOLS
Whether you're using a flat collar, a slip leash or a harness, choosing the right type of tool for your dog can be a challenge.
RELATIONSHIP
The relationship you have with your dog can influence the reactions you're getting and lead to frustration from both you and your dog.
LOVE & AFFECTION
A dog can only achieve balance if the love and affection is conditioned by previously fulfilling all the other needs.

WHAT OURCLIENTS SAY
We value our clients, so much that we've built our business knowing that our client's success with their dog leads to our own success. Here is a collection of reviews from our awesome members.
Chris was fabulous! After one session, we already saw an improvement in Mila's behavior on the leash! Chris also sent us a comprehensive summary of our training after each meeting which was very helpful to reference after each visit. Mila was so attentive to Chris - he is truly a dog whisperer!
Nikki K. (Mila - Terrier Mix)
I love Chris! He truly fits his name and is a true Dog Genius. His ability to work with all different types of dogs is amazing. the best part about Chris is the work he does with us owners. He takes the time to listen to the owner and the needs of the dog. Every dog and every dog owner deserves a DogGenius like Chris!
Shantelle W. (Duke - Goldendoodle)
Hiring Chris as my dog trainer has been the best decision! I have a six month old Siberian Husky and we started training as soon as I got him. I’ve learned a lot of great tools to make sure I’m getting my dog to be a well adjusted member of the family. I would definitely recommend Chris to all my friends.
Yesenia A. (Stone- Siberian Husky)
Chris is so helpful and easy to work with, I can't recommend him enough. When we rescued our dog, the agency warned us he was HIGH energy and would need lots of exercise. Chris immediately recognized it was actually anxiety. He gave us a variety of training exercises to work on and overnight we had a different dog.
Ryan R. (Enzo - American Staffordshire Terrier)
Chris is very thorough, professional and efficient. My dog is very anxious/ nervous around new people and he gave her a solid foundation to be able to relax and be more responsive in high stress situations (new environments or meeting new people). Highly recommend his services!!
